Our Story

Wells Cattle Company is comprised of Larry and Brenda Wells, and Jordan, Katie, LJ, Maverick, and Burkley Wells. 

​

I (Katie "Behmer" Wells) grew up showing cattle in the Midwest.  My family (Behmer Show Cattle) has raised superior show cattle for over 25 years. While I did show heifers, showing steers was definitely my passion.  My parents and brothers spent countless hours and dollars hauling me around to jackpots and majors.  Some of my best friendships and memories were made throughout these years.   

 

Fast forward to 2011, my husband and father-in-law jumped onboard, eager to learn anything and everything about the cattle industry.  We began purchasing our own cattle to add to the Behmer Show Cattle herd and this is when Wells Cattle Company was born.

 

Throughout the last 7 years we have created a herd comprised of Simmental, Maine, Angus, Charolais, Red Angus, and Crossbred cows.  I love the show steer side still, but raising high quality breeding cattle has become more of an interest now as well.  

 

We are constantly educating ourselves on the newest "up and coming" sires and genetics that will work with our herd.  Our main goal in mind is to bring you the highest quality breeding and show cattle that will compete at all levels, and eventually take their spot in your breeding program.
